About Annie's Place .
When we arrived in France our plans were different, but as many people know, life changes, after Brexit, then covid we decided what we wanted had changed, and we started looking into opening a pottery painting studio, as we realized this was something we desperately missed here in the Charante.
We are a blended family, my husband and I met when our children were young, and we know that trying to find activities for 4 children who don't see eye to eye can be really hard. My children had been going to pottery painting from being very small, as our older family members loved the concept of receiving a personalized gift from the children, and the children loved the experience of creating them. When we became a larger family, we found that pottery painting was a place that the children could all interact, it took away some of the pressure of hanging out together as they were each so immersed in their own creations.
Over 20 years our family had many moments creating memories that we still have and use now. Some of our beloved family members have since passed and those gifts have circled back to us, and still bring us joy. Not only do our adult children go with friends, (or, I was proud to hear, even sometimes on date nights!), but, now that we have grandchildren, this process has begun again.
As for why we call it "Annie's Place"? Its simple really, Annie Boobles Wilson is the boss, she is always nearby, keeping an eye on everyone.
So that's us, Annie and I look forward to meeting you all, whether you are a solo artist, or you join us with your families, friends, (or even your dates), here at Annie's Place.
